The calm and beautiful interior with its luxurious furnishings blends stylish sophistication with quiet country charm and sets the scene for a memorable stay. The elegant hallway opens out onto a large porch, which looks down to wetlands and Big Pond.

The dramatic collection of artwork throughout the house is exceptional and is generously shared with the guests. The sitting room has an open fire for cool winter evenings and the dining table seats 8 with comfort. Meadowlake Lodge has been built with an exquisite eye for detail making it the ideal rural retreat from the noise and bustle of city life.

The house is solar passive but reverse cycle air conditioning is in all the guest areas, which also have fresh air cross-ventilation. We believe that with by all our planting of trees and shrubs that we have created our own Green House carbon credits!

Guest Rooms

The three spacious, light filled, guest rooms are in a private wing and the level of appointment is superb, with comfort a priority. They all look out onto the impressive garden. All guest rooms are individually styled and offer superior accommodation in a country manor.

Each have a generous sized en-suite, which is flooded with natural light and have both a shower and separate bath. The beds have soft damask linen and down filled pillows.

The Milton Room is the largest room with a king size bed and a French day bed making it capable of sleeping 3 in comfort. This room has its own patio, which looks out across the property to the escarpment and down to the lakes.

The other two spacious and luxurious rooms have queen size beds. The Keats Room is decorated in autumn tones, while The Tennyson Room has a French touch. These rooms look out onto the garden.

Garden

Meadowlake is set on 40 hectares (100 acres) of pasture, woodland and lakes. Within the 100 acres, 8 acres have been fenced from the Home Paddock. We have created a garden from the cow pasture originally bought and the results speak for themselves.

After five years the garden is now established. Wander through gardens and relax in the sheltered nooks.
